Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides specialised, round-the-clock care for premature and newborn babies who need more support than a standard nursery can offer. It sits alongside our Labour Theatre Complex and Department of Paediatric Surgery, headed by Prof. Dr. K. Ganesh Pai, so a baby who needs immediate resuscitation or surgical attention at birth is already within the same team.
The unit is equipped with dedicated paediatric and newborn ventilators, a phototherapy unit for neonatal jaundice, radiant warmers to maintain a stable body temperature in fragile babies, and a Neonatal CPAP machine for infants with breathing difficulty who don't yet need full ventilation — all monitored continuously with multipara monitors. A resuscitation bay is built into the Labour Theatre itself, and a dedicated operation theatre for caesarean section keeps mother and baby within the same protected pathway from delivery onward. Our Founder Director, Dr. Ganapathi P, brings decades of paediatric and newborn anaesthesia experience that has shaped how this pathway is run.

Neonatal Transfer Support
