Reporting & Review

Every Scan, Read Carefully

Every MRI, CT, X-ray and ultrasound study is reviewed on high-resolution reporting workstations before a result reaches the referring doctor. Ultrasonography (USG) is used daily for abdominal and pelvic assessment, soft-tissue evaluation and pregnancy scans — a radiation-free option that works alongside MRI, CT and X-ray. This careful review process keeps reporting timely without sacrificing accuracy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a doctor's referral for an MRI, X-ray, ultrasound or CT scan?+

Most scans are done on a doctor's referral so the right study and protocol are chosen for your symptoms. Some routine X-rays and ultrasound scans can be done as a direct walk-in — ask our imaging desk to confirm.

Is CT scanning safe? How much radiation is involved?+

CT uses ionising radiation, so the scan protocol is selected according to the body region and clinical requirement. Your doctor and radiology team consider the expected diagnostic benefit before the examination is performed.

Do I need to prepare before a scan?+

Some CT studies (like CECT) and abdominal ultrasound need a period of fasting, and pelvic ultrasound may need a full bladder. Our staff will give you specific instructions when your scan is booked.

Is ultrasound safe during pregnancy?+

Yes. Ultrasound uses sound waves rather than radiation and is the standard, safe imaging method used throughout pregnancy for monitoring the baby's growth and wellbeing.

How quickly will I get my scan report?+

Reporting time depends on the examination and clinical priority. Emergency and inpatient studies are coordinated with the treating team, and staff will advise when the report is expected.

Are imaging services covered under insurance and TPA plans?+

Yes, diagnostic imaging is covered under most cashless and reimbursement mediclaim plans as part of your overall treatment. See our Insurance page for the full list, or check with our billing desk.
